Now that the existence of this forum is out on d20Haven, I wonder if the word will spread around? Anyways, let me know if I can do anything, guys!

Also, thank you for doing this.

CD,
I have contacted Andy on RPGNet and incited him. Could you contact Levi?

Also, any others you might think would be good in getting the word out/contributing to the mod policy.

Thanks.

I have just contacted Levi, as well as CW Richeson, who used to be active on RPGsite and is a great fellow. He quit at about the same time as Levi IIRC :)

Regarding the name. Haven made me think of a sanctuary and then a wild-life park, so how about...

The RPG Haven

Where RPGs run wild.

or better yet, Where RPGs run free.

Incited him ? :)

The RPGHaven - Talking Games or Talkin' Games....seems a bit pretentious but IMO we need to do something about the secondary title. Maybe as more turn up, suggestions will be given.

Edit: If the BBC can have a show called Talking Movies, I don't see why we can't have a forum subtitled Talking Games.

Indeed!

I have a million tons of shit on my lap these days, with work picking up, and a bunch of projects at home, etc. But I love the folks who are stirring here, and am rooting for an "RPGNet, But Small", so I'm going to try to help it out where I can. By talking about games, basically.

I think the "A Place for All RPGs" is fine for now. It's hard to set that crap in stone: Frex, over at S-G, I change the by-line like every other month or so as fancy strikes.

But whatever you choose is going to be secondary to the actual gaming discussion. So hup to! Even if we replicate some topics from the RPGNet front page or whatever, lets get the bread on the table and serve up some gaming talk.

DRW - Not a bad one.

David - Sorry man, my second grade ESL classes haunt me and I can't do it.

Andy - Thanks for showing up! And yes, it is not the high priority but one of those niggling details I have to take care of. ;)

How about a compromise and we use "Talking about RPGs" for now?

Thanks.

Talking about rpgs sounds good to me.

Edit: And I started a thread in the rpg section. Maybe it should go in the design section....(Just thought I'd link to something people could read, if they stumble upon this place ;) )

The Varney piece? I think it is a good RPG thread, yes? It has design elements but I would be interested in just a general discussion of how people view morality in their games. Let me know if you would prefer me to move it.

Thanks.

ETA: And James, I have set you up as a founder and admin here. Let me know if you cannot see functions like the X marking that you can delete posts and you should now be able to edit anyone's post.

Bill,

I can get to the admin panel, but I don't seem to have any of the moderator things. You have any problem with me acting as admin and setting us up as mods?

Jim
