 The RPG Haven Podcast
I am more than happy to resurrect the podcast.
As to why it went dark: WalkerP and I had an oddly simultaneous pulling away from RPGs in general. In both cases things in our lives were drawing away our interest in RPGs to a point that we simply did not have the motivation to do a podcast. I would have probably been fine to continue as a contributor--but with WalkerP as the producer, his withdrawl was a death-knell.
So, I would be happy to give it another go under these conditions: 1. There is at least one other person interested in hosting the show. 2. There is someone interested in producing the show. I have no strong bias about how much producing. More than "That's How We Roll," but other than that...

 Re: The RPG Haven Podcast
That would be freaking awesome, Ryan!
Any takers, guys? I don't know the first thing about producing podcasts, or I would volunteer - I can always talk about games. For hours. Days.

 Re: The RPG Haven Podcast
By which I mean the podcastof that name. I just realized that might be misinterpreted as simply a laissez faire producing attitude. Which is what the THWR podcast has, but...dammit I think I just things more confusing.

Maybe you could approach Troy about this. He started working on his own podcast, and even conducted some interviews, but then I think lost some steam. I've not idea whether he'd prefer to stay solo or not, but I'm confident you guys would make a great team.

 Re: The RPG Haven Podcast
I asked Troy if he would be interested, Thalaba. Hopefully he is.

 Re: The RPG Haven Podcast
My ears are burning. (Thanks for the call out, Clash.)
I finally remembered my username/password for this place. I haven't visited in a few years. Any chance I could get my username "doomfistmonk" replaced with plain old Troy or TroyH?
As for the podcast. Here's my thing. I'm interested. And I think it would totally help for me to work with another person. Earlier this winter I was all wound up to do a podcast. I conducted an interview with Ryan, with Tony Dowler (How to Host a Dungeon), and with Jason Pitre. I set up some interviews with Judd Karlman and others. But ... well, I'm a busy guy and I sometimes get a little over-committed. Stress form work kind of knocked the wind out of me. I want to get the interview with Tony, at the very least, on the air. I was just about to toss it to Rich to see if he would put it in the Canon Puncture feed as an "extra," but I would contribute it to the RPG Haven if that makes sense.
I guess it's up to you, Ryan. I'd be happy to work with you and between the two of us we could probably stay motivated to get some work out the door, but I will not take it amiss if you would rather work with someone else. I don't take such things personally because you really have to be in sync with someone to undertake a creative endeavor together. (Your opinions don't have to match, but you have to get along well, be good about sharing spotlight, etc.)
