Our recent outage was brought to you by the techs doing upgrades in the neighborhood who took it upon themselves to cut out cable out of the trunk since, obviously because it was not buried (the dig order has been in for 4 years now) I must be stealing cable. So, they sent out a tech, after I was told to reset the modem, and he couldn't even find the old line. He ran a new one and we cot a connection. Then, I struggled with the stupid modem until i called tech support and it took them all of 3 minutes to load the config file for our static ips.

Net on the whole thing, we are getting a free upload to an even faster connection. I can be an asshole, yeah, but I can be an asshole in your best interests sometimes.

P.S. Unless it be unclear, I am pissed at Comcast, not the techs or help desk folks. Everyone I talked to was very nice and as helpful as they could be.
