Well I was definitely thinking about Vance when I wrote it, but I was thinking about Dumas and Lieber too. However, at its heart its a fairly straight forward S&S tale.

Anyhow, I'm editing and changing all the entries before they go up- and with some, like the one I did today, I'm adding "art" or at least drawings that I have perpetrated. So you know...LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!

The metal earth is rare nowadays. So in 1842 the number of rare earth elements had reached six: yttrium, cerium, lanthanum, didymium, erbium and terbium.
