Post Hartsend Manor
I've created the first pass of a manorial setting on for Infidelus - Hartsend Manor.

Its' a very rough first draft that likely needs a lot of editing and additional information. But we start tomorrow and I wanted to get some stuff down.

This is, to a large extent, a shadow of Buckbray Tower - a supplement I bought a week ago. I wanted to change the layout, the names, and the encounters, and some of the things going on - but the structure of the Estate and its history is taken almost whole cloth from that supplement. Fortunately, it's a d20 supplement and all of the text is open content (the maps, which I will not reproduce here, are the only PI in the material).

Then I mixed in some stuff from some favorite movies (go on players...guess...you won't get it).

I'm actually pretty happy with the direction.

Oh, there is a Referee's Guide. It has information about all of the stuff the residents would not know (the players are starting as resident's of the estate); relationships, histories, opinions, goals, etc. that I'm still fleshing out. Fingers crossed, I've got until tomorrow at 4 to get it all together.

Fantastic work sir--very excited to start exploring your world. I'm working up how Alston will fit in to the manor tonight and in the morning tomorrow.

Well, my good players? Thoughts after a 3/4 night of play?

And now...after a couple of weeks of immersing myself in this rip-off job I'm doing, it finally strikes me that one of my players was right in her confusion. Hartsend is not the northwestern most fief...it's the northeastern most!

I am officially an idiot.

LOL Shit happens, Jim. We've all been there, and are unlikely not to recreate the experience... ;)

Good stuff by the way. I like your writeups.

Thanks...

In my mea culpa email I mentioned, and I think it's true, I have some sort of East/West Dyslexia that I blame on Lake Michigan.

Last week I was asked/challenged (OK, I took the question as a challenge even though I know it wasn't meant as one) if I had a list of every resident of Hartsend....

I've got about half of them done :)

Though no write-ups except for the folks like the Hetman of each farm. But a list of who lives on what farmsteads and which farms...

Alright then...not quite Hartsend Manor as we're expanding our world a bit. So here's a map of Calledon(ia), the Barony of which Hartsend is a part.

And a slight update to the players guide to adjust for the maps and my mistakes in earlier versions...
