Post Re: WotC Interview?
Having finally caught up on all of this I am chuckling as I watch what looks like the worst and most spiteful non business business decision of all time. "We going to cut off our hands to spite our nose!"

Besides offering no serious way for us to swallow their suggested data ("We know!" Oh really? You do? Please share with us all just how you know. Maybe lend just a little credibility to this sort of incredulous statement.) they seem to think that because they control a lions share of the market that they'll be immune to any fall out. Didn't the RIAA try this already?

Now maybe they have an alternative waiting in the wings, and maybe it will even be something that can rival the PDF in it's usefulness, but I don't think that solves their problem-which is really "How do we squeeze every last possible dollar out of every single possible transaction, be it on the net or IRL?"

Luckily I don't purchase much from the WoTC people, and my game will survive this with out even a brief pause. How the rest of the market will handle it, how it will all end up? No idea. Luckily I'm not in a position where I have to worry about how it all ends up.

Doesn't matter. Now that they've pulled out, the downloads will continue and the ratio of electronic copy pirated vs sold will be 10:0.

[rimshot!] Nice one, CD!

And Serious Paul, that avatar is friggin' painful to look at. Ouch. Yet somehow it's fitting.
