episode 4 – Friendly Neighbourhood Gamer #1 and Boulet on Bloodlust
We have an interesting two-course meal for you this month. Boulet gives us a brief review and history of the French RPG Bloodlust, where the players take on the role of God-Weapons or the characters they possess. The main segment is the first episode of Ryan’s Friendly Neighbourhood Gamer where he talks to Mike in an attempt to learn more about the myriad ways we come together and play in our hobby.

If you guys are interested in a game that has the same tropes as Bloodlust but a different feel, look around for the Charnel Gods supplement for Sorcerer. It’s essentially the same concept- immensely powerful sentient weapons and the mortals that wield them. The setting is actually a bit cooler, too, based on what I heard in Boulet’s review (and I totally thought his name was “Bullette” after the D&D monster).
Oh very cool. I’ve heard so much about Sorceror yet never played it. I know Ron Edwards has a real love for the old 70s style sword & sorcery genre (as do I). Maybe this Charnel Gods supplement is a good excuse to finally check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
